NEW AROUND HERE?

WELCOME TO HATFIELD CHRISTIAN CHURCH SOUTH!

HOW TO JOIN OUR

CHURCH FAMILY

It would be our pleasure to welcome you as a new member of this community. The reason for our new members’ orientation called ABC (Accept-Belong-Commit) of Team Membership is to give you an opportunity to learn about our core values, our vision and mission, to enter a journey of accountability and discipleship with you and most of all, for you to feel part of this awesome family of Christ. Should you consider membership with this community, we host the new member orientation approximately two to three times a year.

This takes place on three Wednesday evenings over three weeks and all the sessions need to be attended. Once you have more insight into our values and expectations, you can make an informed decision whether to join as a member or perhaps even at a later stage. We will always welcome you to our gatherings irrespective of your decision. You will be able to locate the next available orientation under events on this website. Announcements will be made well ahead of these dates to inform interested persons about registrations.

COMMUNITY GROUPS

Community Groups are an essential part of this community’s health as they are intended to be vehicles for discipleship and to equip members to be the Body of Christ in everyday life. To mature in faith and grow in fruitfulness, Christians need strong relationships. Our Community Groups are smaller gatherings where people form meaningful relationships to offer love and support each other in everyday life which we refer to as Frontlines.

Our Group sizes vary from 6 to 12 people to enhance relationships.  Community Groups are spread as much as possible across the city of Centurion, facilitated by committed leaders who are supported by area Shepherds.  We encourage every interested person to contact our church office for information on the closest and most suitable group (anethononda@hccsouth.co.za). We would love to help you find a group that you can relate to.

“Great small groups celebrate success, suffer with one another, and expect God to do more than they can do themselves.”

– Rick Howerton

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE & WHEN DO COMMUNITY GROUPS MEET?

God has used Community Groups effectively to start the New Testament churches and is most certainly still using Community Groups today with the purpose of helping people grow in their relationships with Him, with one another and to increase their influence in their everyday lives.

‘Today our world is facing five global giants: spiritual emptiness, egocentric leadership, extreme poverty, pandemic diseases, and lack of education. The public and private sectors have failed to eradicate these crippling problems. The only organisation large enough and powerful enough to take on these problems is the global network of Christian churches that exists in every corner of the world- specifically, the small groups of people within those churches.’ Rick Warren

We do not profess to have all the right answers, but part of the purpose of Community Groups is to journey together and discover more of what God wants His church to be in a rapidly changing climate.

Our Community Groups normally meet on Wednesday or Thursday evenings, usually between 7 pm and 9 pm, although these times may differ slightly from group to group depending on their niche. Some ladies Community Groups meet in the mornings during the week.
